International Dance Day

Apr 29, 2021

International Dance Day

Today St Julie's celebrates all of our amazing dancers in International Dance Day 2021.

We are so lucky to be able to live out our school mission statement daily: "where individuals discover their potential and develop and share their unique talents".

Students started their celebration with a commercial class with professional dancer Penny Murphy. One pupil (pictured) was selected for her outstanding performance, and you can watch her performance at our Chaplaincy Website.

Pupils demonstrated their leadership skills, looking at the musical 'Legally Blonde' in their Arts Award lessons delivering workshops to one another.

GCSE dancers have been looking into site-sensitive work by James Cousins. They are looking forward to getting outdoors to create meaningful dance.

Finally, BTEC Dancers have showcased their interpretation of Romeo of Juliet the Musical to students in Key Stages 3 and 4.
