World Book Day 2017

Mar 2, 2017

World Book Day 2017

So, today was World Book Day.

What’s been going on?

Form tutors have distributed £1 World Book Day tokens. Take them to your local book shop and buy one of the special World Book Day £1 books, or get £1 off a regular priced book. Bargain!

In English lessons, teachers have shared their favourite books with their classes. There’s quite a varied selection!

The "Who am I?" competition has taken place is the reading hub of our school, Our Lady’s Building.  This is the brainchild of Mr Fleming and it’s not as easy as it looks. Prizes are still available for anyone who gets all the answers right!

English classes have took part in reading quizzes all day and all pupils were given the change to read in form time this morning.  St Julie’s will be continuing their World Book day celebrations through March, with exciting activities such as a visit from a local author, the official launch of our pupil reading and literacy ambassadors and our exciting competition to win a tablet!

A big thankyou to all of the staff that have helped to prepare for today.

Happy World Book Day!
