On Tuesday students from Year 8 crossed the river for a wonderful day out at Chester Zoo!

Taking full advantage of having one of the world's finest zoo and conservation centres almost on our doorstep, our students had a fully immersive experience meeting species from across the globe.

Chester Zoo works to arrange the grounds into species appropriate natural ecosystems, and students took a relaxing boat trip around the 'Islands' biome, modelled on South East Asia. 

Some of the students who were feeling brave took on the dark humidity of the bat house, and were rewarded for their courage with some great sights. 

Well done to all of the students for their fantastic conduct on the trip.
