Our GCSE Geography students have been getting their boots wet as they investigated the River Alyn in a fieldwork trip this week.

On Tuesday the intrepid group set off for Loggerheads Country Park in North Wales with their wellies and surveying equipment. During the day they investigated lots of metrics including river width, depth, flow rate, pollution and the size of pebbles on the river bed, in order to better understand if and how rivers change as they flow downstream.
