St Julie’s Catholic High School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff, governors, volunteers and visitors to share this commitment
Geography students in Year 8 have been investigating pollution rates this week with some traffic surveying.
From the safety of the school grounds our students have a great vantage point on busy Speke Road, and they conducted timed surveys monitoring the frequency of passing pedestrians, cyclists and motor vehicles, which were recorded in several different categories.
This helps students to build an understanding of local traffic movements and pollution rates, as well as giving an insight into how environmental monitoring happens in the real world.
