During the Summer, GCSE Geography students were able to combine learning with recreation on a fabulous field trip to the USA!
44 students were able to make the trip that toured San Francisco, Alcatraz, Death Valley, Las Vegas, the Grand Canyon and Los Angeles.
In San Francisco the group visited Pier 39 and Alcatraz Island.
At Death Valley, next in the tour, the temperature peaked at the 3rd highest temperature ever recorded there - an eye watering 53.4 degrees!
Students then got the chance to cool off, taking in the fountain show at the Bellagio is Las Vegas and a little shopping at the Venetian.
Next on the tour was a 2.5 mile walk around the Grand Canyon National Park.
The tour was rounded off with a visit to Los Angeles, with visits to Hollywood, Rodeo Drive and the famous tour of Universal Studios.
