Amey Engineering have hosted a group of our Year 10 students for an engaging enterprise event.

The day started with an introduction to the world of Engineering and the roles available at Amey and progressed through traffic sign bingo; creating a structure which would support the weight of a 1kg book using only cocktail sticks and fruit pastilles; identification of hazards on a construction site; building a structure outdoors to the height of the smallest girl in the Group and ending with a chat and brief demo of the work of three very different engineering sectors upstairs!

With great prizes and a feast at lunchtime all of the students had a fantastic day. Thanks to Sonia Smith, Kerry, Aiofe and Sean at Amey.
