After meeting at our welcome event earlier in the year, we were delighted to welcome back our newest students on transition day!
Students currently in Year 6 across the city got the chance to visit their new schools so that they can touch the ground running in September and settle straight to learning.
Our students took full advantage, and we welcomed a large and slightly nervous group into our Dining Room this morning who waited to find out which of our six forms they were set to join. Once we had identified the new members of Nugent, Therese, Rigby, Dorothy, Arrowsmith and Maria the proud students moved to the Dorothy Stang Theatre for an assembly.
After assembly the students moved into work as a form group, experiencing some orientation work and then samples of lessons from across the school, including Science, Drama, English and much more.
Lunch was met with some approving thumbs-up as students sampled the ranges available in the Dining Room!
Activities in the afternoon included a large group session in the Chapel exploring the Notre Dame values that are the backbone of our ethos at St. Julie's.
We're delighted that so many of our students were able to take part in this very important day in their journey at St. Julie's. We hope that they enjoyed their day as much as we did and we're looking forward to reuniting in September!
