7th February 2023

Dear Parents and Carers,

I am writing at this time to inform you that I anticipate leaving St Julie’s Catholic High School this summer. I have served our school community as Headteacher since September 2010 and it has been a privilege to work alongside such devoted staff, committed students and supportive parents and carers.

Shortly, I will be undergoing planned surgery that will leave me absent from work for 3 months or more. As such, any return to school in the summer term will be a brief one. In order to ensure the smooth running of the school, governors have asked Mrs McCourt, Deputy Headteacher, to take up the position of Acting Headteacher. This is to ensure all statutory functions of the Headteacher can continue in my absence.

I will write again in the summer term and in the meantime, rest assured that the school is in excellent hands and continues to be challenged and supported by dedicated governors, led by the Chair, Mrs Smith.

Yours faithfully,

Tim Alderman
Headteacher
