Today saw a migration to Wavertree Athletics Centre as the whole school took part in Sports Day, competing in a wide range of events from the recognisable to the slightly wacky! 

The day started with arriving students being entertained with some dazzling song and dance before the traditional opening ceremony of the parade of flags of all nations.

Students then did themselves proud with a friendly, kind-spirited competition across a host of events, including the obstacle course, the ball and spoon race, hula hooping and welly wanging, as well as more conventional track and field events including shot, long jump, high jump 100m, 400m and 100m relay.

The loudest cheers were reserved for the two staff vs student events which saw honours even as staff clinched the relay race and our Sixth Form students prevailed in the obstacle race.

The climax of the day brought us the final results, and our congratulations go this year's winning form: Rigby!

Congratulations to everybody who took part in the wonderful day, and all of the staff who worked hard to make it work so smoothly.
