Good Luck Year 13!

Good Luck Year 13!

We have brought our half term by bidding a fond farewell to our ‘Class of 22’, as we celebrated their life at St. Julie’s.

We were very pleased to welcome Father Ed, who joined us from the Parishes of St Ambrose and St Christopher's to celebrate our Mass. As a boy who grew up locally, Father Ed was able to share some of his memories of growing up in his house in sight of our Chapel.

The Mass is always an emotional occasion, and proved equally so this year as our 1804 Society members ceremonially handed over their robes to our new society members before we ended on a stirring rendition of 'My Lighthouse', led my Ms Wallace and accompanied by Mr Quinn and Mr Cookson.

Conducting her final duty as Student President, Lois McGregor gave a poignant address speaking to, and for, her peers. Lois reflected on all they had been through in their unusual school lives, and gave thanks for the support they have received on each step of the journey.

The ceremony concluded with all staff members forming an applauding guard of honour for students as they left the Chapel for the last time.

Thank you to everybody who worked hard to make this such a wonderful occasion.
