Debate Mate is a programme of study that teaches students important skills for participating in a formal Debate.
These skills include intonation, pace and gestures that are appropriate styles for a given debate. The programme helps participants to formulate and construct arguments, and see things from multiple points of view.
It is hosted by professional trained University students and enables students to develop a range of techniques to participate effectively in a debate against schools across the country. The club holds sessions every Wednesday 3:30-4:30 and there are snacks available!
