The Springboard Programme is a scheme that involves free out of school workshops for young people aged 11-16, studying Black British history through the lens of music.
Liverpool is a city known for its rich maritime history, culture and arts heritage. During the 18th century, Liverpool made about £300,000 a year from the slave trade. The slave trade was the backbone of the city’s prosperity and the reinvestment of proceeds gave stimulus to trading and industrial development throughout the north-west of England and the Midlands.
The Springboard Programme kicks off in Liverpool on Saturday 2nd October, and if you would like to attend you can find more details here.
