Be The Light In The Darkness

We're grateful to our friends over in Alsop High School for their work on a new video commemorating Holocaust Memorial Day.

The short film features the testimony of Auschwitz survor Mr Zigi Shipper, BEM, who in more usual times would visit the school to speak to students of his experiences in person.

Mr Wilson, Headteacher at Alsop, spoke of the power of Mr Shipper's words: "It is a great privilege for Alsop students to produce this film which includes the inspirational testimony of Mr Zigi Shipper, BEM. His Auschwitz survivor testimony is a powerful reminder of the horrors so many experienced at the hands of the Nazis during World War Two."

The video, available to watch here, was produced with the support of Mr Shipper's family and of the Holocaust Educational Trust with which St. Julie's also proudly works. We hope you'll make the time to watch it, either on Holocaust Memorial Day on the 27th January, or before.
