End of Year Service

On Friday, 10th July, 2020 - the last day of term for our students – staff from all areas of school life gathered with the students in the Peace Garden for an End of Year service.

In glorious sunshine, they reflected on the last few months, gave each other a round of applause, clapped for carers and keyworkers and held a minute’s silence for all who have died during this most difficult of years.

The school flag was lowered to half-mast as a sign of respect and it will be raised once more when school re-opens.

After a short reflection and prayer, our Peace Bell pealed to mark the end of the academic year.  It will sound once more on our first day back in September to welcome students and staff to St. Julie’s once more.
