The popularity of the Cathedral Advent services for Liverpool Schools is such that this year there have been two services, both very full, which this year St. Julie's have had the honour of leading.
The services, introduced by Archbishop Malcolm and Bishop Tom, saw the Advent message articulated through dramatic recitation, dance and song with our students giving readings and performances throughout.
One memorable dance included the expression of Mary and Joseph's position as refugees using a real boat, and the angelic visitation incorporated the use of the highest gallery in the Cathedral as a performance space.
We'd like to thank our Chaplaincy team, as well as all of the Performing Arts staff for their hard work in preparing for the services, and of course our talented students for expressing the Advent message in such an accessible way for the young audience.
