Thanks from Micah Foodbank

Mr Alderman has received a very nice letter of thanks from Paul O'Brien, Executive Director of Micah Liverpool, for our recent Christmas donation.

The text of the letter reads:

"I am writing to pass on my warmest thanks to the pupils, parents and staff of St Julie's for your Christmas donations to Micah Liverpool Food Bank. I was overwhelmed with the amount of food that was donated which filled two vans.

It's often a difficult time of year for the guests using our foodbank and the items collected are very much appreciated. Your pupils have helped other children who are less fortunate than themselves to have a little treat this Christmas.

As an independent foodbank we are totally reliant on the kindness of others to help feed local people who are in the most need. Across our two pantries we usually expect to see about 800 people a month and therefore any food and supplies donated really help us to support local residents and families.

Thank you for thinking of us when you were donating, we're incredibly grateful and hope thatyou will think of us again in the future if you are able.

Yours Sincerely,
Paul O'Brien"

We're glad that the magnificent collection effort was so worthwhile and extend the thank you to everybody who has donated to give so many people a better Christmas.
