We have welcomed in two classes of young scientists from Much Woolton Primary School who have been discovering how much energy is in food.

After a thorough safety briefing, the students explored the calorific content of food by measuring temperature differences in water after burning a number of different foodstuffs. 

The experiment included some important practical scientific techniques, and those able to follow the instructions exactly were rewarded with accurate results.

We hope the students enjoyed their afternoon, and we look forward to seeing them again in the future - hopefully as students at St. Julie's!
