Performing Arts Bring The Glitz for Oscars Night!

Woolton Picturehouse became the place to be this week as Performing Arts hosted their own Oscars awards night!

Students tasted the Hollywood experience with their red carpet arrival in front of the paparazzi, before being greeted with a mock pink prosecco cocktail, popcorn and a goody bag.

It was then swiftly onto to the main event, as awards were presented in cateogries within Dance, Drama and Music.

We closed the evening with the presentation of our special headline awards, which were determined by staff in recognition of outstanding commitment to the arts this year:

Actor of the year – Rachel Whitfield

Dancer of the year - Ella Hoey

Singer of the Year- Bridgid Nebsitt Scott

Musician of the Year- Louise Bramwell

Life time achievement award for commitment to performing arts – Amber Wheeler

Congratulations to these hugely talented performers and of course to all of our wonderful winners on the night.
