St. Julie's Geography department supports Operation Christmas Child

Pupils in Year 8 have been busy volunteering in recent weeks helping Ms Jones from the Geography department organise the creation and collection of Christmas shoeboxes to be sent to children across the world who otherwise would not receive a Christmas present.

The pupils were absolute stars in coordinating the campaign, as well as giving their own time and money to make boxes full of exciting and practical gifts so that children in poverty can know that someone cares about them during the Christmas period.

The boxes were taken down to the OCC warehouse yesterday by Mrs Wood, whose church members were volunteering in checking the shoeboxes and getting them packed for transit.  The photos show the 38 boxes St. Julie's managed to make being processed ready to make some children really happy this Christmas - well done girls!
