We have been celebrating Pride month here at St Julie's, and today year 8 celebrated Physics along with Pride!
8Q1 have been learning about light and how it can be reflected, refracted and diffracted. The photos show dispersion, when white light splits up into the spectrum, otherwise known as the rainbow.
The rainbow flag has become synonymous with Pride and the LGBT+ community, however the Pride flag has only 6 colours compared to the spectrum or the rainbow which has 7. Several of the year 8 girls managed to show dispersion even on a bright sunny day like today. Well done!
