Some of our students got the opportunity to be among the first to tour our brand new building today!
As part of Kier Construction's national community day some of our staff and students enjoyed a guided tour of our new building.
The experience began with a briefing in the Conference Room where the students were led through aspects of the building's design and construction by a member of Kier's BIM (Building Information Modelling) team.
This was followed by a safety briefing and the distribution of the required safety equipment for touring a working site.
With vests and hard hats on, it was over to the site for a guided tour from Mr. Bryn Jones of Kier. The tour route took in important areas including the visitor entrance, dining area, student reception, LRCs, Sports Hall and performance areas and a view of some of the classrooms.
This was a great opportunity for our students to learn more about our future building, as well as how modern construction works and what part they could play in the industry in the future. Thank you to all at Kier for their support in today's event.
