Welcome To Our Newest Students!

Welcome To Our Newest Students!

We enjoyed a highlight of our school calendar as we welcomed our new students, currently in Year 6, into school to meet each other!

This was the first time that we have been able to offer the event in school since lockdowns began, and it was wonderful to welcome students and their parents in large numbers again.

On arrival students were escorted to the Chapel where they got to the chance to meet each other as a Year Group for the first time. Mrs Wallace then taught the students a song she had written called 'Nothing's Impossible', along with sign language to accompany the lyrics!

Parents were directed to the Sports Hall where a presentation from Mrs McCourt and Mrs Rooney set out expectations and how we move forward in the next steps. Parents also enjoyed some warm words from Student President Lois McGregor in her address.

At the end of the presentation students and parents were united again virtually as students beamed a live performance of their new song into the Sports Hall for parents to enjoy and applaud enthusiastically!

Thank you to all of the students and parents who attended, as well as the many student helpers who acted so capably as guides throughout the evening. The students will all meet again on Year 7 transition day taking place later thsi year.
