The Performing Arts department have launched this year's 'Active Play' programme this week and students in Year 7 have given a hearty endorsement as they have made themselves acquainted with the equipment!

The programme gives all students a chance to participate in physical activities, raise their heart rate and have some fun during their breaks.

Miss Douglas, Curriculum Leader for Performing Arts, explained more about the program: "The emphasis really is about fun. We've got a fantastic curriculum that allows students to express themselves through movement, but our Active Play is designed to offer activities that everyone can just enjoy, however competitive or naturally athletic they may or may not be. With football, netball, skipping and hula-hooping on offer the students have engaged really well, and the staff have had some great fun too!"
