World Book Day 2021!

World Book Day 2021!

Today celebrates World Book Day! Whilst we can't all celebrate together in school, the English Department will be discussing their favourite books and doing a number of activities with their classes during their live lessons.

Each student will receive a link to sign up to their free book token. This has a value of £1 at participating World Book Day retailers (which includes Tesco and Sainsbury's) and lets you get one of the special World Book Day £1 books completely for free! This is a generous gift to you from booksellers across the country.

We are also encouraging our students to take part in the online masterclasses for World Book Day! In these videos, writers will give tips on how to write a story, how to make characters feel real in your writing, and what inspired them to become an author.

Reading is important everyday - but on World Book Day we celebrate just how fun it is too!
