Year 12 students were guests of the Crowne Plaza on Speke Boulevard today as part of their level 2 BTEC Unit 2 work.

Students are investigating products and services within the hospitality and catering industry and contacted Vicki Mangan who is the Hotel Services manager at the Crowne Plaza who gave them a talk and a guided tour of the hotel and its facilities that included conference rooms, functions and the Ambassador suite.

This event will help secure merit level within the unit and participating students can now work towards distinction level as they compare this company to others in the area.

The Design and Technology department is very grateful for this opportunity and look forward to developing similar links in the near future.
