Sixth form English Language students were treated to a masterclass in Language and Gender today from Dr. Linda McLoughlin of Liverpool Hope University's English department.
Dr. McLoughlin has been Curriculum Co-ordinator for English Language at Liverpool Hope since 2002. She has published a wide range of articles and several books. She specialises in language, gender and sexuality in addition to critical discourse analysis and sociolinguistics. In addition to exploring the topic of language and gender, Dr. McLoughlin also spoke to pupils about further study in English.
The English department are committed to raising standards and aspirations and we look forward to future collaboration with Dr. McLoughlin and her department. Thank you to Miss Cooper for organising today's event.
