Olympic fever has taken a firm grip at St. Julie's - with two Julie's Olympians at the games and a very special Year 7 assembly!

Rachel Brown - a teacher of one of our BTEC Sport courses and goalkeeper for Everton and England has already arrived in the Olympic Village with Team GB and has sent us the photo above! Watch out for her performances for the Ladies' Football Team, and follow her tweets for Olympic updates!

Also competing in the Heptathlon is Junior World Champion Katrina Johnson-Thompson, pictured above at her Year 11 Sports Award Evening! Katarina is an outstanding talent who has remained modest throughout all of her success, and we'll all be cheering her on!

Closer to home, Year 7 got a chance for some authentic Olympic experience when Lucy Frost, a Year 7 student, kindly brought in her Aunt's Olympic torch for a specially themed Olympic assembly! It was amazing to see, and we're very grateful to Lucy's Aunt for her generosity.
