University Finance presentation to parents – Managing Student Finances

Jan 12, 2009

Tuesday 27 January at 7pm

St. Julie’s Sixth Form  invites parents and carers of Year 11, 12 and 13  to our finance presentation, “Managing Student Finances” on Tuesday 27 January at 7pm in the Dorothy Stang Theatre.

This informative evening will provide parents with an ideal opportunity to ask questions about the many different ways in which students can apply for funding which will encourage them to apply to Sixth Form or University without the burden of financial pressures.

The presentation will last for approximately thirty minutes and will provide advice and information on student loans, bursaries, scholarships and EMA (Education Maintenance Allowance).
A representative from The University of Liverpool, Miss Caroline O’Connell, will deliver the presentation in partnership with Mr Lee Randall our Graduate Mentor from Aim Higher.

The talk is aimed at parents and carers.  Those planning to attend are asked to reply to the school office by Tuesday 20 January.

Pupils will have the opportunity of similar talks in school.
