Year 8 Students Work Up An 'Appebite'!
Congratulation to Beth and Megan, two of our Year 8 students, who have won a competition to name a new coffee shop in Woolton Village!
When local businessman Anthony Hayes (pictured above with Megan, Beth, Mr Radburn and Mrs Lauckner) decided to open a new sandwich and coffee shop he though it would be a great idea to involve our students in choosing a name and designing a logo. In turn, Mr. Radburn organised a competition that attracted over 200 entries!
The winners really went the extra mile, not only designing a logo but extending their design concept to uniforms, menu layouts, van livery, food bags, a letterhead and some features for a website!
The lucky winners are set to get a taste of Appebite's products as they enjoy a fully catered party in school!
Appebite is due to open in mid-June this year at 21 Woolton Street, and we wish Mr Hayes every success with the new venture.
