Archbishop Kelly Celebrates Mass With Year 7

All Year 7 pupils and their families were delighted to welcome Archbishop Patrick Kelly to our school to celebrate our Year 7 Welcome Mass with us on Thursday 29 October.

It was a very enjoyable and spiritually uplifting celebration attended by the whole year, families and friends of our pupils and a large number of staff and governors. The Liturgy of the Word and the reflections were led by our pupils and staff. Parents contributed to the Offertory Procession and Year 7 pupils served on the altar. The Year 7 music ensemble played for us throughout and the Year 7 vocal group sang parts of the Liturgy. The Mass ended with the final hymn animated by over twenty performers in a coordinated words and actions sequence, all arranged in a few short days.

During the celebration, Archbishop Patrick Kelly reminded us of our individual call to be ‘little less than angels'; to know that we can make a difference in the lives of others and to realise that we have angels watching over us and helping us to do good and make the right decisions in every step of our journey in school and in life.

We thank all who have helped to make this celebration special, with particular thanks to our Archbishop, Patrick Kelly, and to all who came to witness the year 7 school journey begin and support school in making our mission real.
