Drama Students Take Now Festival Triple Crown!

This week St Julie's performed as part of the annual NOW Festival, a festival all about young people and mental health which is now into its Sixth Year.

This year's theme was 'Belonging' and across the 4 nights 22 schools delivered powerful messages about where they belong and what belonging means to them.

This year, St Julie's were brave enough to tackle a real story. Erin proudly told her story of having scoliosis and how physical health can link to mental health. There were some excellent moments of humour, raw emotion and even some audience participation that concluded with the whole audience up on their feet for a standing ovation.

The students' hard work, professionalism and most importantly inspiring message was recognised by the panel of judges who presented the following awards to St Julie's,

Best mental health message
Best Overall performance of the night
Best Overall performance of the festival

A massive well done to all the St Julie's performers and to all the other schools who performed across the entire festival. Thank you to the festival organisers and to Miss Douglas and all the team who helped the students to prepare for their winning performance.
