St. Julie - on the move

St. Julie - on the move

With Year 11 Mock GCSE Exams starting this week, some of last year's Year 11 students - now enjoying their own studies in Year 12 - carried our statue of St. Julie from the Chapel to the Sports Hall.

This is so St. Julie can be looking over the candidates facing this dress rehearsal for GCSE exams later in the year.   It also gives Year 11 students a focal point to look to for re-assurance, calm and encouragement if they are having a difficult or blank moment.

So, why Year 12 and not premises staff?   Well, the Year 12 students know exactly what it's like to be in exams and this is a tradition that has developed over the last couple of years.  It's one way the Year 12 students can give back to the Year 11s who - next year - will take on the responsibility for the year below them!

Thanks to Lucy, Sinead, Anya, Liv, Holly, Anna, Katie and Sophie for stepping forward to 'serve the good God well' in this way!
