Merry Crib-mas!

Merry Crib-mas!

If you’ve been passing through Student Reception, you may have noticed our Nativity scene developing over the days of Advent!

They remind us of the story of that first Christmas with Mary and Joseph unable to find any room at the inn. They seem to have ended up in a stable or at least somewhere where there were animals.  After all, Jesus was placed in a manger which is a feeding trough for livestock.  Shepherds came to visit after an angel told them to.  The Wise Men from the East followed a star bearing gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh.

They were all drawn to Bethlehem to see the newborn child.

Our Baby Jesus will be placed into this scene on the last day of term to symbolise his birth on Christmas day – reminding us why we celebrate Christmas!

From all at St. Julie’s – have a happy and holy Christmas – reflecting on the joy of new life and the chance for a new start.
