World Book Day 2011

Today the whole school celebrated World Book Day with a wide range of activities including a trip out to Woolton Library!

Throughout this week the English Department have been running a Book Breakfast combining fun activities with a free breakfast. The school has been decorated with posters detailing great and inspiring reads that the staff have recommended.

Today some lucky Year 7 pupils visited Woolton Library to learn about it's long history and help the local community in their campaign to save the Library from closure. As part of their visit they each left with full library membership and a free copy of Frank Cottrell Boyce's 'The Unforgotten Coat'.
