Year 10 students got to enjoy some mythbusting recently when special guest Sian Jones from the Bank of England came to explain what it actually does!
In her presentation Sian contextualised the function of the Bank of England, explored what makes it different from High Street banking and discussed why it is important nationally.
For many of the students the best part was the question and answer session which came with cash prizes - with a twist! Sian's prizes were small pucks formed out of real shredded bank notes that have been taken out of circulation.
