REQUIRED IMMEDIATELY:  Clerk to Governing Body

Contract:  Part Time/Term Time/Permanent     Salary:  GRADE 3 Points 5 to 9 (NJC JE New Scale 01/04/19)

Actual Salary £6452 to £6985 (May be increased for exceptional candidate)                                                                 

St Julie’s Catholic High School is a popular and oversubscribed school for girls, situated in the conservation area of Woolton Village, South Liverpool.  In September 2017, we moved into our brand new £23 million school building.  In April 2018, OFSTED graded St. Julie’s as Good with Outstanding features.

We are seeking to appoint an exceptional candidate to provide professional clerking services to our Governing Body. The role will include providing advice to the governing body on governance, constitutional and procedural matters and provide effective administrative support.   A full job description and person specification can be found on our website. 

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and organisational skills, be able to work independently whilst at the same time forming effective relationships with governors and school teams.    The successful candidate must be able to organise their own time and work to strict deadlines.   A knowledge of governing body procedures and previous experience in a similar role is desirable.

The job role will be on a flexible basis working 15 hours over 2 to 3 days per week, 35 weeks per year and term time.   The Clerk to the Governing Body will be required to attend all Governing Body meetings.
