Year 7 History pupils have spent time recently investigating sources of information to analyse which types of castles were more effective; Motte and Bailey castles, or Stone Castles, as part of their study of British History. 

To apply their learning, pupils were set the challenge of designing and building their own castle, utilising the most effective features from castles of the past to create the best castle they can. 

You can see in the photos that pupils were very creative in applying their understanding, and there were some epic castles produced!
