Peace Garden Growing

Feb 26, 2019

Peace Garden Growing

The Peace Garden at St. Julie’s further grew over half-term with the installation of Peace Stations at each of our 16 olive trees.

Devised by our 1804 Society, each station is a reflection on the ways in which peace can be grown.

The ways covered include: embracing diversity, passion for learning, political action, ethical enterprise and promoting mental well-being.   Each topic highlights an inspirational person and an opportunity to reflect on how each individual can be a peace grower!

Included in the stations are St. Julie herself, Malala Yousufzai, Eloise Cobell, Katherine Johnson and Millicent Fawcett!

Next time you visit school, why not take the opportunity to visit the Peace Garden and walk in their footsteps?

Each station also features a significant year in the history of the Sisters of Notre and our school.  Of course, this year is a special year as we mark the 50th anniversary of the canonisation of our patron saint!  You can watch out for more information on this year’s activities here on this website.
