Attendance Beats The Weather

The difficult weather in January hasn’t dented the resolve of our committed students who have recorded sustained attendance in the year since September.

We’d particularly like to congratulate Year 7 students who, along with the staff supporting them, have raised their game to record the best attendance of all of our Year Groups.

The latest figures to date are shown below.

With things moving in the right direction we must acknowledge that there is still some work to be done to meet the minimum attendance that we aim for which is 97%. Pupils with no absence are an astonishing 2.2 times more likely to achieve 5 or more GCSEs or equivalent at grades 9-7 including English and Maths than pupils missing 10-15 percent of Key Stage 4 sessions, so we thank you for your continued support of our work on attendance and ask that you keep on helping your child maintain excellent attendance.
