In the first week of this Lent Term, Lida - the Head of Dorothy House on our 1804 Society - raised the Dorothy House flag celebrating the fact that Dorothy is the Champion House for last term.
Dorothy House is named after Sr Dorothy Stang, SND - the Angel of the Amazon - who was murdered in 2005 because of her standing up for the indigenous people of the Brazilian rainforest against illegal logging companies.
The flag flies between those of France and Belgium on our new flagpoles in the Peace Garden at St. Julie's. France is where St. Julie was born in 1751 and Belgium is the location of the Mother House of the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur!
The House Champions are determined by attendance, punctuality, merits and commendations but who will it be this term?
