Artsmark Challenge Day 4: Seeing It Live!

In St Julie's journey to Arts Mark all students from Year 7 to 13 have been given the opportunity to experience live theatre.

This week saw the turn of GCSE and A Level Drama students who visited the Liverpool Everyman Theatre who we work closely with through our schools education partnership.

As well as enjoying a gripping performance, we also had the added surprise of finding out we were sat in 3 seats purchased and named by our school during the Everyman's refurbishment, containing the words 'Serve the good God well with much liberty of spirit'. This really helped the students to understand that many different ways in which they as individuals and as members of an organisation can support the arts.

Here's what Year 13 students said about the performance:

"Alice Selbold's production of 'The Lovely Bones' was a moving and heart wrenching experience with a fresh and unique take on both physical and visual theatre. Charlotte Beaumont gave a mesmerising performance as Susie Salmon alongside Keith Dunphy's tense and gripping portrayal of Mr Harvey which left audience members on the edge of their seats.

5* - A real triumph!"
