The parents of some of our new Year 7 pupils were invited in to school this week to meet our SENCo, Mrs Dooley and the rest of the Learning Support team.
The event was aimed at helping parents feel informed and reassured about the support on offer to their daughter and to discuss how well they've already settled in, and proved to be a huge success. All the parents found the event very helpful and one commented, "Today was a great idea! I feel I know who will be in lessons and running interventions with my daughter now. It is great that a Secondary School has such an open door policy".
More SEN parent events will be held throughout the year, and we'll keep you posted!
