Prize Night 2010

For one night only the Sports Hall at St. Julie's was transformed into a formal presentation hall for the annual school Prize Giving.

Certificates were presented by our Guest of Honour, former student Ms Caiti McDaid-Kelly, pictured here with Mr Alderman and Year 13 student of the year, Rebecca Grundy.

We were delighted to present some special awards, including:

  • Recognition of twelve years' valued service as chair of the Parent Teacher Association by Mr Jack Jones
  • Recognition of the talent and generosity of Mrs Fairhurst, a grandparent of one of our students who has presented the school with two Christmas Cakes every year for six years for us to use as raffle prizes
  • Presentation of a special alumni award for former student Hayley Morson, now a talented aerospace engineer who was recently a finalist in the IET Young Woman Engineer of the Year competition

The evening also featured inspiring performances of music, dance and choral singing from students of all year groups, and a solo dramatic performance from Siobhan McCallum.

We would like to take the opportunity to thank all of the parents and relatives who were able to attend for this very special evening.
