'Outstanding Contribution' Award from Hope University

The St. Julie's school community is honoured to have received an award from Hope University for our work in supporting the workforce of the future.

Last week Mr Alderman and Mrs McCourt attended the Liverpool Hope University celebration dinner for schools that work with the University supporting trainee teachers. A large number of successful graduates have honed their craft at St. Julie's, and we have also hosted experience days for teacher specialising in primary teaching who benefit from a taste of secondary school life.

Our partnership with Hope University is a special one, as the University was created from the amalgamation of several Colleges, including Christ College and Notre Dame College. This year, Hope University was judged to be the top performing university in the North West for Education degree courses.

At the dinner the presentation of an award for 'Outstanding Contribution to the Hope University Education Partnership' was made, which Mr Alderman and Mrs McCourt were proud to accept on behalf of all of the staff across the various departments in school who always support and encourage the trainee teachers to be the best that they can be.
