Letter to Parents of Year 10 Students

Jun 4, 2018

Please see the document attachment for a letter circulated by Mrs McCourt to parents of students in Year 10, the content of which is given below.

Dear Parent/Carer,
Re: Humanutopia event
We have invited an organisation called Humanutopia to St. Julie’s Catholic High School to work with year 10 students on Tuesday 3 July. Your daughter will be asked to participate in this very exciting and innovative event.
The first phase of the project is called ‘Who Am I?’ and is a day-long experience, which deals with important teenage issues around personal awareness, peer pressure and conformity. It will also encourage the students to reflect on their life chances, encouraging them to have high hopes and aspirations for their future. The day has been designed to help young people discover a more authentic side to who they are.
The experience is designed to empower young people to develop critical life skills and take motivation and ownership of their education. We are certain that this will be a positive and memorable experience for your daughter and feel it is a perfect complement to her academic studies.
For further information on Humanutopia – please go to their website at www.humanutopia.com.
Yours sincerely
Deputy Headteacher KS3/4
