Whilst a little out of season, students in Science Club have been developing skills that could come in useful whilst building and decorating a 'densitree'.

The tree is a triumph of retort stand and clamp modelling and engineering, but it takes its name from the solutions of different densities and colours that give the layered effect on the fluids in the decorative glassware. 

The scientists all had a lot of fun discovering what they could do with density variations - well done to them on some great work!
