Year 9 Make It Enterprising

7 Year 9 pupils took part in a Make it Enterprising challenge on 11th November.

They travelled to Ellesmere Port to compete against 14 other schools from the area in order to make an unmanned vehicle to transport uranium. The event was sponsored by URENCO and the pupils were given a very detailed brief which they had to follow strictly in order to complete the task successfully.

Each member of the group were assigned a particular role - Managing Director, Finance Director, Design Engineer and many more.

Helena Walker became the Managing Director of the St. Julies' team and managed her team to victory. However she could not have done it without the help of her team members - Sarah Bennett, Lydia Jones, Lauen Cheong, Ellie Jeffrey, Sarah Gerrard and Riley Pottenger.

The students were great ambassadors for the school and beat off stiff competion to be crowned Merseyside winners. They will compete again next year in the regional finals held in Ribby Hall Village, Lancashire. Well done Girls!!
