Advent Angels

Dec 8, 2017

Advent Angels

Our Advent Theme this year is Angels and a couple of weeks ago, some Year 7 and Year 11 students came together to be angels who spread good news among God's people.  They made a video promoting the Nugent Christmas Hamper Campaign which is for local children whose families are struggling.

As a result, they got a bumper harvest of donations of chocolate biscuits, chocolates, mince pies, cakes, and other treats which will land on people's tables over the festive period.

Year 11 students Natasha, Melissa, Eloise and Ella were the prime movers with Amy and Megan in Year 7 appearing as voiceover artists who complemented the mellifluous tones of the aforementioned Year 11s.

On 4th December, they delivered to Nugent HQ on Edge Lane where the donations were warmly appreciated. (Nugent, by the way, is named after Fr. James Nugent - the priest from the 19th century who invited the Sisters of Notre Dame to come to Liverpool. One of our houses is named after him.)

Huge thanks to all - especially Miss Douglas' Form who were fantastic as ever!
