King Lear With The RSC

Sixth form students who take A Level English Literature are watching a Royal Shakespeare Company live broadcast of King Lear this morning. They have been joined by students from Year 10 who are considering taking English Literature as an option.

The live broadcast supports students' understanding of the genre of tragedy, which is one of the units studied for A Level. Students are being challenged to watch and ask questions with the RSC actors and presenters explaining a number of key concepts as the play progresses.

This innovative broadcast is currently being watched live by schools across Great Britain and Northern Ireland. This is just one of the many opportunities students have, here at St. Julie's to stretch their understanding of English.

Thank you to Mrs Bridges for organising this event. Watch this space for future broadcasts!
